Born in Tokyo,
Yoko Schwarz began playing piano at the age of
three. After graduating from Toho Music
School, she earned her B.A. degree
at the Paris National Conservatory. She has studied under Masako Tsujii, Seiko Seki, Etsko Tazaki, Vantisloff
Yankoff, and Pascal Devoyon.
Today, she resides and teaches in Lexington, Massachusetts.
She regularly accompanies baritone Robert Honeysucker
and the Chorus Boston.
Schwarz has performed throughout Japan,
Europe and the United
States. Tours have included Hamarikyu Asahi Hall in Tokyo,
Vienna Hall in Fuchu,
the Setagaya Museum
in Tokyo, the Dolemont
in Switzerland,
Theatre du Jardin in Paris,
and Vienna. In January 2004, she
performed the Mozart Piano Concerto No. 26 (“Coronation”) in Tokyo.
In addition, Schwarz has performed in nationally broadcast festivals
in the United States,
Europe and Japan,
including the Aspen Music Festival, the William Kapell
Music Festival, the Noyer, the KMF Music Festival and
the International Rachmaninoff Musical Festival. Her prizes comprise: Diploma
Award (Swiss Piano Masters Players International Competition), Third Prize (Mayse Chelin International Piano
Competition).
東京生まれ。3歳からピアノを習い始める。桐朋学園女子高等学校音楽科卒業。同大学音楽学部ピアノ科を経て、パリ国立高等音楽院卒業。Theatre
du Jardinなどパリ近郊のコンサートホール、スイスのDolemontやオーストリアのWein、日本では浜離宮朝日ホール、府中の森ウィーンホール、世田谷美術館などでリサイタルを行う。2004年1月にはレペテ合奏団とMOZART「戴冠式」ピアノコンチェルトを演奏。Aspen音楽祭に参加。またWilliam
Kapell(アメリカ),Noyer(仏),Rachmaninoff(ロシア)音楽祭では特別賞受賞後コンサート出演。KMF音楽祭(日本)では最優秀演奏者に選ばれFMラジオで放送される。 Piano Masters Players 国際コンクール(スイス)ディプロマ賞、Mayse Chelin国際ピアノコンクール(仏)3位受賞ほか、欧米各地のコンクールに入賞。これまでに辻井雅子、関 晴子、田崎悦子、V.YANKOFF、P.DEVOYONの各氏らに師事。 現在LEXINGTON(MA)在住。
